Instead, I’m just going to talk about my favorite games of the year, no numbers needed! I don’t think I played enough games this year to make a super compelling list of 10 games. 2016 was a crazy year for a number of reasons, and for me, personally, I couldn’t really dedicate that much time to holding a gamepad in my hand. With amazing releases like those listed above, you’d think it’d be challenge to make a list! Unfortunately, it’s difficult for me due to a different reason. If you don’t speak Japanese, Persona 5 got delayed twice this year! And some say that Street Fighter V still might one day get an Arcade Mode.Īs 2016 comes to a close, it’s the time of year again when I’m supposed to list off my top 10 favorite video games of the year. 9 failed to impress despite its initial hugely successful crowdfunding campaign. 2016 was also the year that virtual reality actually became a thing, with the full releases of Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR, along with some exceptional VR experiences, including Job Simulator and Space Pirate Trainer.Īnd, of course, there was some disappointment.
